Our Founder

K.M. Munshi is remembered for his versatility: freedom-fighter. lawyer, one of the makers of India's Constitution, literary giant, philosopher, creative artist, educationalist, promotor of art, music, dance and drama, an able administrator, an advocate of Sanskrit and Hindi, environmentalist and a builder of institutions.

He was born on Broach in Gujarat on 30th December 1887. He was deeply influenced by Shri Aurobindo Ghosh, another legendary of our times. Lawyer by profession, Munshiji joined the Home Rule League and became Joint Editor of Young India started by Gandhiji. In 1917, he became a member of the Subjects Committee of the Indian National Congress.
